Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series – Lesson 01B: Classification of Fluid Flows
In this 18-minute video, Professor Cimbala discusses different classifications of fluid mechanics:
1. Viscous or inviscid flow regions
2. Internal or external flow
3. Compressible or incompressible flow
4. Laminar or turbulent flow
5. Stable or unstable flow
6. Flow in one, two or three dimensions
Also defined are the non-slip conditions, viscosity, turbulence, Mach number and speed of sound.

This video incorporates material from sections 1-3 and 1-4 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala.
