This lesson is the first in the series – an introduction to the subject of fluid mechanics. In this 10-minute video, Professor Cimbala defines "fluid mechanics" by first defining "fluid" and then defining "mechanics". Other topics introduced and/or reviewed are pressure, normal stresses, and shear stresses.
