As a fully remote team spread across 10 time zones, we’re all working from home. So we took this opportunity to come together, align on our strategy, and produce some epic content! For our last international retreat, I rented a castle on an island in Spain on Airbnb. This year, I decided to book an all-inclusive resort and used the Presidential Suite as my HQ for the week!
Every morning I take the team to the pool or beach. We even got to swim with the turtles! We spent the day in Tulum at an amazing water park where we were able to relax, enjoy the views, and snorkel with the fish! During the day we did workshops, worked as a team, and in the evening we experienced a fancy dinner.
It was a magical experience and we all left Mexico with amazing memories, a little tan and lots of fun stories to tell our friends! I can't wait to join the next team retreat and hope you can follow us along the way!

He participated in the Wayne State University varsity swimming program and graduated summa cum laude from the Mike Ilitch School of Business. Fares continues to compete internationally and is a three-time US Masters Individual National Champion in swimming, a USA Triathlon Certified Coach and a member of the American Swim Coaches Association.
Prior to launching MySwimPro, Fares led digital marketing for several venture-backed tech startups, developing brand strategies and shareable content. His analytical approach to driving growth and creative vision for audience engagement and branding has been credited with the success of many early-stage companies. Fares, a Syrian-American, was recognized by Arab America as one of the 15 Arab Americans Who Stole the Show in 2017.
