Clarkson University offers two undergraduate programs related to environmental sciences. Both programs offer a wide range of options for tailoring a degree to the specific areas of the job market that prospective students wish to pursue.

Environmental science and policy brings together the natural and social sciences and applies the principles to environmental problems. It encourages communication between government, industry, organizations and citizens with the aim of improving environmental quality.

As an environmental science and policy student at Clarkson, you will ask questions such as: “How can we make trade-offs between the demands of society and the needs of nature?/” Then you will work looking for these solutions.

Environmental health science studies the relationship between humans and the environment, primarily environmental factors that harm human health. Our program focuses on the recognition, evaluation and control of these chemical, biological and physical factors. The environment must be thought of in the broadest sense, that is, including the natural, built and social environments.
