Pollution occurs when gases, smoke and chemicals are introduced into the environment in large doses, making them harmful to humans, animals and plants. Certain forms of pollution can be observed; some are invisible. Our Earth has an atmosphere made up of different gases. The amount of gas present in our atmosphere is ideal for supporting life on our planet. We breathe the air and we enjoy it. With our technological advancements, we are introducing new chemicals into our atmosphere, causing an imbalance. The major effect of this imbalance in nature is global warming.
