In this English lesson we learn BASIC English vocabulary associated with the weather.

Weather vocabulary included in this lesson includes:
cloud, cloudy flood, fog, foggy, hail, hurricane, ice, icy, lightning, rain, rainy, raining, rainbow, snow, snowy, snowing, storm, stormy, sun, sunny, thunder, stormy, tornado, wind, windy.
We've also included basic vocabulary associated with temperature:
heat, hot, heat, hot, coolness, cool, cold, cold, freezing
(More advanced weather vocabulary appears in another lesson…this vocabulary is intended for beginners)

There are pictures that help explain the meaning of each word.
For each weather word, there is a weather icon on the left and a cartoon or picture on the right.
Below these images, it is divided into three sections:
noun / adjective / verb.
The correct form of the word weather appears in the appropriate section. NOTE: Some words have one, two, or all three forms.
(e.g. hurricane only has a noun form, not an adjective or verb form)

We also explain the difference between weather nouns, weather adjectives, and weather verbs:
The name The name of the weather type.
It's an adjective A description of time
It's a verb. This type of weather is happening now.
