Every living thing is made up of cells. These cells contain stories. The first life forms on Earth consisted of a single cell, whereas we are made up of many cells living together. The evolutionary story of how we came to be, from our unique cellular ancestors, is one of cooperation between individuals. Teamwork between organisms is as important to our evolutionary life history as it is to our lives today. Here is one such story.
