Glaciers are large, slowly moving masses of ice on land and play an important role in the global climate. To better understand the glacier and its potential impact on sea level rise, scientists deployed a robot to measure and monitor the glacier's melting rate. The robot helps scientists better understand the impact of climate change on the glacier and its potential contribution to further sea level rise.
