Today we will see how to overclock the processor without using software.
(CPU-Z does not overclock your CPU. It is simply measuring/seeing the clock speed beyond your maximum rated frequency which the system cannot display)

I have an older Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz but this method is applicable to most desktop CPUs.

Make sure you have proper cooling, such as an air- or water-cooled system.
************************************************** *****************

Enter your BIOS (press F12, F10, F8, F2, Esc, Del when your PC starts to boot) and set all settings to the maximum available.
Increase the CPU frequency to achieve the desired clock speed.
Also increase the RAM voltage to overclock the CPU.
Do not increase the tension too much. Keep it optimal.
Once finished, save the settings and restart the system.
Enjoy your overclocked system!!!
