Across the world, sea levels are rising in response to warming oceans, melting glaciers and shrinking ice sheets – and an even faster rise is predicted over the coming century. In this lecture, Professor Kopp, from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Rutgers University, explores the forces driving sea level rise, perspectives on future changes from the geological record of past changes and the implications for future flood risks along the sea shore.
This event was presented by the Rutgers Institute of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences.
