Job Forecast
In order to determine the expected outlook for an occupation, the magnitude of the difference between the total projected number of new job seekers and employment opportunities over the entire projection period (2019-2028) is analyzed in conjunction with an assessment of labor market conditions in recent years. The objective is to determine whether recent labor market conditions (surplus, balance or shortage) are expected to persist or change during the period 2019-2028. For example, if analysis of key labor market indicators suggests that the number of job seekers was insufficient to fill vacancies (worker shortages) in an occupational group in recent years, the projections are used to assess whether this situation will continue. during the projection period or if the occupation will evolve towards balanced conditions.
Analysis of key labor market indicators such as job vacancies and employment growth as well as the unemployment rate suggests that the number of job seekers was sufficient to fill job openings in this occupational group during the period 2016-2018.
