AbeBooks visited Russell Books in Victoria, Canada, and asked them to explain what they look for when acquiring a used book to sell in their store or online.

Every morning, people bring boxes of books – sometimes up to a thousand books – to the bookstore and the staff sorts them. Some books are selected and purchased. Others are returned to their owner.
