Research shows that positive teacher-student relationships are fundamental to learning. That's why the CZI education team collaborates with educators, researchers, students and community leaders to develop research on how students learn and develop. CZI's multidisciplinary in-house team of engineers, product managers, and designers then creates educational tools that can help teachers build stronger connections with their students to improve their learning.

One such tool is Along, which uses research-based reflection questions to make it easier for teachers to make one-on-one connections with their students. Students and teachers can respond via audio, video, or text, allowing teachers to better understand and motivate their students, and ultimately accelerate their learning.
