When Chef Liz and Will invited me to hang out with them and go to some of their favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, I was very excited. We headed out to eat delicious food in the Los Angeles area, including tacos, Armenian kebabs, and Chinese savory pies.

Featured in this video, and many thanks to:

Teddy's Red Tacos – The first place we ate on this best of LA food tour is Teddy's Red Tacos. First of all, Teddy is a very friendly and down-to-earth guy with a passion for birria, one of my favorite Mexican dishes. Served in a food truck, we ordered a plate of birria tacos, made with beef. It was amazing and great to come out and meet Teddy as well.
Mixed plate – 10

Beijing Pie House – Next we drove east to Beijing Pie House, another one of Liz's favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. We ordered a mix of dishes including a variety of dumplings and the highlight was their tripe salad with Sichuan pepper oil. If you're looking for northern Chinese dishes, Beijing Pie House is well worth the trip from downtown Los Angeles.
Total price – 55.70

Mini Kabob – There was one more huge meal we had to eat on this food tour of LA's best restaurants. We drove to Glendale where there is a large population of Armenians, and we met Armin, the son of the owner of Mini Kabob. I immediately loved the place, family, just a small shop with a few tables, and ultimately a friendly place. They welcomed us and Armin took care of us from the start by preparing a platter of mixed meats with a little bit of everything. The Armenian kebabs were spectacular, as were all the different salads.
Huge platter – thanks Armin!

Heroic Deli – Finally, to end this Los Angeles restaurant tour, we went to meet my friend Jeffrey who is opening a deli in Los Angeles called Heroic Deli (https://www.heroicdeli.com/). Barbara made us their OMG classic Italian sub, incredibly good and well balanced. When they open in Santa Monica, be sure to stop in for a fantastic sandwich.

Thanks to Liz and Will for taking me to some of their favorite restaurants in LA, I had an amazing time!
