Speaker information:
Stephen Howell Academic Program Manager
Stephen has 22 years of experience in software engineering, teaching, program management and the education sector. He is currently the Academic Program Manager for Microsoft Ireland.
In this role, he champions STEM skills in K12, IT skills for higher and further education clients, and digital transformation for government education agencies.

Stephen is an advocate for awareness of STE(A)M, autism and ADHD, gender diversity in technology, and increasing the accessibility of technology for all. He is responsible for the Accessibility Pillar of the Diversity and Inclusion Council for Microsoft Ireland (since July 2019).

He is in the final year of a PhD at University College Dublin's SMARTLab on inclusive design and creative technology innovation, where his research focuses on computational thinking and kinesthetic learning.
