In this video I want to give you a sort of road map on how to enter the IT world. The technology industry is one of the hottest industries in the job market right now. So it makes perfect sense that so many people are considering a career change to technology or getting into technology right after graduating from school or college.

And it is true that the technology industry offers many career opportunities, but when you are at the very beginning of your journey, it can also be very overwhelming. This is a large industry with many options, many IT fields and professions. There is so much to learn and often we don't even know where to start. It's also difficult to know which IT field you'll be interested in and eventually choose, before you actually try things out and see for yourself what you enjoy doing most. You may even doubt yourself, thinking that it's too late to change careers or that there is so much to learn that you will never be able to catch up with people who have been working in technology from a young age.

And I understand all these worries, the self-doubt, the time pressure, the insecurity of not knowing where and how to start, etc. And that's why with this video, I want to kind of show you different career paths in tech and give you some general advice. to find out how to get started.

The most popular IT professions today, which will be in even greater demand in the future are: software engineering, DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, cybersecurity or security engineering, data engineering or, generally speaking, data professions and machine learning engineering.

And for each IT domain, we will see if:
– it's an entry-level job
– what they actually do and what some of their job responsibilities are
– as well as the skills you need to enter this specific field
– and some of the technologies you need to learn for that.

Most of you will probably want to get into one of these fields, but many of you may not know at the moment what exactly you want to choose, perhaps because they all seem equally exciting or equally overwhelming, so you don't know which one you'll choose. be a better choice or which one will be more interesting for you, which is totally okay, because that's exactly what I want to help you with in this video, so let's get to it!
