70% of employees are preparing for possible layoffs, whether by saving money or applying for new jobs, according to a MarketWatch Guides survey. Is this anxiety justified or is there something else at play?
MarketWatch Guides Data Journalist Matt Brannon Joins Wealth! to provide insight into the survey and what Americans need to know about the jobs landscape going forward.
Brannon outlines one of the study's biggest statistical findings: age gaps.

While Gen Z workers, 88% are taking action to avoid a job loss, trying to anticipate it in some way,” Brannon told Yahoo Finance. /"Layoff anxiety is a term we asked about to find out how worried people are. Brannon says younger workers' concerns are exacerbated by another trend appearing across most industries: "Younger generations are particularly afraid that AI will take their jobs."
