4 car safety features that aren't safe…! Oh sweet Handbrake, how I miss you very much. I never understood why this very simple and cheap mechanism had to be replaced with the stupidest thing ever, which is probably infinitely harder to repair when it breaks. Probably planned obsolescence, I don't know. Lane Keep Assist… Sometimes these lead you TOWARDS the problem, even keeping you out of the lane, as it panics on the Rumble Strips (Honda Moment). What frustrates me most about any new tech feature, not just this particular one, is when the car FORCES you to drive with it. As if there is no deactivation function in the menu, on the steering wheel or whatever.
Also, I will NEVER forgive the US government for saying pop-up headlights are too sharp to pass pedestrian safety standards, but then I will leave the abomination that is the Tesla Cybertruck on the road.
