It's day 24/30 of spring cleaning! We are going to clean our hard flooring today. When I talk about hard flooring, I am referring to; LVP, tile, concrete, hardwood and natural stone. When it comes to all of these types of flooring, my first recommendation is to always use a PH neutral floor cleaner. Today I will be using Ecolab Neutral No-Rinse Floor Cleaner mixed in a spray bottle. I really like this cleanser because not only does it clean well, but it doesn't leave any film or stickiness behind. (I also like Zep's Neutral PH Floor Cleaner, but just know that it can't be used on hardwood floors.) After choosing the right cleaner, the next step is to sweep/vacuum/ mop the dirt from the floor. This will keep you from creating a muddy mess once the dry dirt mixes with your wet cleaner. Next, your tools you will need. Now I really like a flat mop with multiple microfiber cloth heads. It makes it easy to switch from a dirty head to a clean head, which is very important for not spreading dirt around your home. (If you use a spin mop or traditional style, be sure to rinse it frequently with clean water.) Another reason I like a flat mop paired with a spray bottle is that it's easy to transport from one room to another. My favorite thing about washing floors is the fresh smell of my house. And you?
