00:00 INTRODUCTION
0:02 My dividend income increased by 7.64%, almost overnight, thanks to the big deals I'm going to share today!
0:22 I have a new position number 6 in my dividend stock portfolio.
0:35 I'm going back to my roots. My fourth largest holding is Altria (MO). My 6th largest holding is British American (BTI).
1:18 SLIDE 1: MY BIG BRITISH AMERICAN (BTI) PURCHASES
2:35 My dividend income is up 7.64% from trades shared today.
3:28 SLIDE 2: MY THREE DIVIDEND STOCK DEALS
3:31 I purchased BTI twice (75% by weight). I bought SCHD once (25% of the weight).
4:04 The overall return on my matched trade was 7.56%.
4:39 These were difficult trades because I was waiting for my funds to be deployed, while I was seeing the BTI stock price rise every day.
4:55 I share my whole journey here. Some jobs can age well, others not. We'll see how this one performs.
5:51 Over the last few months, I've seen BTI increase from 31, to 32, then to 33, and now up to 34. It's been painful.
6:28 Real world constraint: waiting for funds to be deployed.
7:49 I was going to deploy 100% BTI, but I did 75% BTI and 25% SCHD because BTI's stock price had risen a lot.
8:32 SLIDE 3: MY STRATEGIC DIVIDEND PORTFOLIO GOALS
8:59 Objective 1: Higher overall portfolio return.
9:23 Goal 2: Increase overall portfolio CAGR (for long-term return on cost).
10:30 a.m. SLIDE 4: MY 7 MAIN DIVIDEND SHAREHOLDERS
11:58 a.m. JNJ 8.5% value, PEP 7.8% value, SBUX 7.4% value, MO 7.1% value, McDonalds 6.3% value, BTI 5.1% value, RTX 4.9% value
12:28 My top 7 positions represent 47.1% of the portfolio value (and 53.14% of the dividends).
2:40 p.m. SLIDE 5: SIN SHARES AS A PERCENTAGE OF MY PORTFOLIO
14:56 31.62% of my dividends come from sinful actions.
15:26 SLIDE 6: MY TOTAL DIVIDEND STOCK PORTFOLIO PERFORMANCE
16:48 SLIDE 7: MY TOP PRIORITY FOR THE FUTURE (SCHD)
5:17 p.m. SCHD now represents 1.5% of my portfolio, a big deal for me. I'm working towards 5-7%.
18:29 SLIDE 8: MY ALTRIA (MO) TRADE FROM LAST DECEMBER
18:41 I have capital appreciation up 23.9% since December 2023. And I have locked in a dividend cost yield of 9.75%.
19:08 SLIDE 9: ANALYSIS OF BRITISH AMERICAN DIVIDEND STOCKS (BTI)
7:56 p.m. Dividend yield of 8.94%.
8:30 p.m. I'm not buying this for capital appreciation, but a little appreciation would be welcome.
