Please note the first exercise instructions: lift the hips to curl the tailbone and anchor the pubis, legs bent and heels pressed together. Palms stacked in front, forehead on palms. Swan exercise: the first is a preparation, in which the elbows and forehands remain down.

These three exercises are my favorite for the lower back. As you know, even though I have two prolapsed discs, I do them regularly as part of my Pilates workout.

Please pay attention to the cues, these are the cues that make Pilates exercises so powerful.

Ps: Progress to the full swan exercise (where the elbows lift off the mat) only when the elbows down are easy and comfortable.
